Welcome to our web site where we hope you will find the information and resources you are looking for related to school health in British Columbia.

The Directorate of Agencies for School Health in British Columbia (DASH BC) is a network of local, regional, and provincial organizations and individuals including teachers, parents and community members who hold closely to the vision that:

every school aged child or youth in British Columbia is part of a health-promoting school community that enables them to lead active, fulfilling lives, well-equipped for future life success

DASH BC members are keenly interesting in promoting a "comprehensive school health approach", often described as "healthy schools", to encourage lifelong learning, health and well-being for BC students. DASH BC advocates for and mobilizes various school health initiatives across BC.

DASH BC members support the proven belief that "healthy students in healthy schools learn better".

While significant strides have been made to achieve this vision, there is still much work to be done to better prepare our future citizens.
